Rolex Replica Fastnet 2015: the Frenchmen at the time of light airs and pomposities

Competitive sailing is an art in which the sea and the winds have to be dealt with. The 46th edition of the new Rolex replica watches Fastnet clearly showed that favorable weather conditions can delay a fleet of keen sailors.

The 46th edition of the Rolex Fastnet, which was celebrating its 90 years of existence, is now over. Even though there were more participants this time, it was the winds, which were far from being strong, that drew all the attention. However, a sailor is also known to be a strategist who needs to know how to cope with the elements to make the most out of any situation. During this year’s contest, the French – although they did not succeed as overall winners – have reaped the benefits having walked away amongst the top three places in the general ranking (with rating). It was the team of the “Société nautique de la Baie de Saint-Malo” that won the event – all categories combined – by adding the results of their three best Rolex replica watches boats.

In short, the Royal Ocean Racing Club has confirmed that Géry Trentesaux, together with his crew and his JPK 10.80 Courrier du Leon, is the grand winner of the 2015 edition of the luxury replica Rolex Fastnet. They succeeded in getting first place despite their rough start that caused the crew to be delayed, to go against streams and to become one with the wind. Nonetheless, it is to be noted that the three winning sailing boats are all JPK, built in a French shipyard, established near Lorient. History will record that the last Rolex Fastnet was won by a JPK sailing boat – Night & Day – with a two-handed team composed of Pascal and Alexis Loison, from Cherbourg.

A matter of time

The winner completed the race in almost three days with a corrected time of 2 days, 19 hours, 50 minutes and 58 seconds. What needs to be remembered, though, about this race is that it took the winner almost twice the time it took the current record holder in Abu Dhabi (UAE) in 2011. That year, the winner reached Plymouth after 1 day, 18 hours and 39 minutes. This year’s event laureate, Géry Trentesaux, received a Replica Rolex Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master from the hands of the Head of Communication of Rolex UK, David Cutler.

For the occasion, the charming sailor and fine fake Rolex watches strategist was wearing a fashionable pair of pants in the colors of the brand’s crown logo. This was undoubtedly a coincidence.

The Real Truth Behind the Rolex Replica Watches UK

No doubt since Monday night, you have been seeing pictures all over the Internet of the new Rolex DeepSea Challenge. In fact, we were at the unveiling event in New York and tweeted and posted about the watch, which we will talk more about in this post. First, we want to bring you behind the scenes with Rolex and filmmaker-turned-explorer James Cameron for a first-hand experience of how and why the new Rolex replica watches came to be.

James Cameron after the successful dive with Replica Rolex DEEPSEA CHALLENGE on the robotic arm of the Challenger

First: James Cameron, Director of the film, Titanic (as well as Avatar and other great movies), Cameron caught the ocean-exploration bug when he was just a child. He dreamed of exploring Earth’s deepest frontier. His work as a filmmaker enabled him in many of his movies to bring that daring side to reality. However, his ultimate dream was re-ignited when he filmed the movie Titanic, as he was one of a select few who actually got to dive in a submersible and see the Titanic first-hand.

“If big companies could build machines that could bring us inside the Titanic with cameras, then I could build something, too,” says Cameron.

In fact, he designed and built not only his own futuristic vertical submersible vehicle, but also the 3-D cameras that would enable him to explore life at depths of more than 30,000 feet. He spent seven years on research and design to build equipment that could sustain the unbearable pressure at 36,000 feet under the ocean. He coordinated a top-notch team of experts who were just as enthralled about and challenged by the dive concept as he was. He sought out advice from U.S. Navy Lt. Don Walsh, the operator of the bathyscaphe Trieste that made the first (and only previous) venture to the Mariana Trench more than 50 years ago in 1960 (buy Rolex replica watches was on that journey, too, strapped to the hull of the Bathyscaphe). The team built in arms for taking samples of sand and rock. They rigged bait to catch different species of life for future examination.

At last, for Cameron and his team, months of testing the DeepSea Challenger at different ocean depths became a reality as the precursor to the actual dive. Each and every time he went down – in a pilot’s chamber that measured just 43 inches in diameter and was fitted into the base of the DeepSea Challenger — Cameron risked his life.

Finally on March 26, 2012, with rough seas rolling in and only a tiny window of opportunity in the dark pre-dawn hours to start the historic voyage, Cameron crawled into the pilot’s capsule, watched as the water-tight (400 pound) hatch was closed and sealed, and embarked on his dark, quiet journey down. Strapped to the outside camera arm, was the new experimental Replica Rolex DeepSea Challenge watch, modeled after the new Deepsea Challenge D-Blue watch.

Crammed into the tight space of the steel pilot’s chamber, Cameron says he experienced an odd calm. Following what seemed like endless checks, cross checks and other tasks, he had some time to contemplate his vertical plunge alone in the dark ocean. As he descends, the outside temperature drops by 50 degrees and the sphere cools. He dons hat and wool socks. Still the DeepSea Challenger continues to drop. Two and a half hours later, Cameron reaches bottom – 35,756 feet deep. It is a bottom devoid of any signs of real ocean life, save that of plankton.

“Here there is no sign of life, the surface was undisturbed. I think we may have reached a depth that defies life itself,” says Cameron.

After taking samples and doing a little look-see, Cameron experiences some difficulties with the equipment that halts his abilities to take more samples or explore further. Having been at the bottom of the world for nearly three hours, he presses the button to release the 1,000+ pounds of weights. He listens for their release. If they don’t work, he doesn’t ascend. I don’t know if anyone could explain his thoughts in the brief moments between flicking that switch and hearing the weights release. Courage is not a strong enough word.

The entire exploration, from building the fake Rolex DeepSea Challenger, to the myriad of challenges, set backs and even deaths that the team encountered, and the ultimate voyage, are the subject of the new National Geographic movie: DeepSea Challenge 3D.

On Monday night, at the Hall of Oceans in the American Museum of Natural History, Rolex, The National Geographic Society and James Cameron held a preview of that 90-minute movie. Filmed by Cameron, the movie is a breathtaking (literally) exploratory tour not only to the deepest point in the ocean – the Marianas Trench – but also into the deepest part of man’s quest for knowledge. The film goes behind the scenes to demonstrate the sheer courage it takes for men and women to follow their dreams and to turn adventure into scientific information and education.

In fact, at the presentation, well-known CBS and PBS journalist Charlie Rose spoke of the courage James Cameron and his team mustered time and again. James Cameron himself talked about loss, heartache and determination. The film reflects the long and sometimes daunting tasks these explorers faced.

“This powerful adventure demonstrates the power of courage that resonates within,” says Gary Knell CEO of The national Geographic Society. “The drive Jim Cameron and his team have to explore the core of our planet, seven miles beneath the ocean’s surface, is incredible. [It shows that] it is individuals that bring the world together.”

The Replica Rolex Deepsea D-Blue features a gradient dial reflecting the concept of dive, moving from blue at the top to black at the bottom. It is water resistant to 12,800 feet

While the setting of the museum, the magnitude of the underwater exploratory trip as depicted in the film, and the presence of fear, exhilaration and awe could have overpowered the audience, Rolex brought reality back with the unveiling of the Replica Rolex Submariner watches that celebrates James Cameron and the 2012 trip to the Mariana’s Trench.

The DeepSea Challenge Jams Cameron watch is destined to go down in history as a coveted timepiece not only because of the story behind its making, but also because of the D-Blue gradient dial – something Rolex does not do often. In fact, the dial gradiates from a rich blue at 12:00 down to a pitch black at 6:00 – reflecting the immersion a diver experiences from entering the ocean to descending toward its floor. The watch reflects the model that dove seven miles down strapped onto the DeepSea Challenger’s arm and continued to operate perfectly.

Dubbed the “ultimate divers’ watch,” the Rolex Deepsea new version is water resistant to 12,800 feet – though it clearly sustained deeper depths on Cameron’s wrist in side the Deepsea Challenger. The 44mm Oyster case, reinforced with the brand’s patented Ringlock System, houses the COSC-certified automatic Caliber 3135. With all the legend behind it, one would expect this replica Rolex watches uk to retail for much more than its DeepSea siblings – but, in fact, it is only approximately $300 more – retailing at $12,350.

Reviews The First Replica Rolex Oyster Watches UK From 1926

What you see are the two versions of the very first Replica Rolex Oyster watch, in other words, the world’s first water-resistant timepiece. It was proven on the wrist of a swimmer, and when it was released in 1926 it was a rather big deal. The origin of the Oyster name is rather straightforward, borrowed from the sea-dwelling mollusk of the same name, and has been a hallmark of Rolex ever since. In fact, all Rolex replica watches sale produced today are technically in the Rolex Oyster collection (except the less common Cellini Prince models), sharing the first Replica Rolex Oyster watch’s focus on durability and water resistance.

Replica Rolex Oyster Octogonale - 1926

Rolex was a young brand when the original Replica Rolex Oyster watch was released, but it was not until later in Rolex’s history did the brand focus on the Rolex Oyster concept almost exclusively. Hans Wilsdorf, German born and living in London, entered the Replica Rolex Daytona watch industry in 1905 doing timepiece distribution in Britain and the British Empire. He went on to produce his own watches a few years later, and the Rolex name came about in 1908. In about 1920 he moved to Bienne, Switzerland to open Montres Rolex S.A., which is when everything really begun. Just six years later the brand’s hallmark product family would be released.

Replica Rolex Oyster Coussin - 1926

One thing is notably absent from the 1926 Replica Rolex Oyster watches. The trademark crown logo is missing. Rolex didn’t come up with the crown logo until the early 1930s, but you can see that on one of the pieces the Rolex name was presented in the same font and style that it is in today. You’ll also notice the fluted bezel, which is also a hallmark of Rolex design on today’s Datejust and Day-Date models (among others) This was part of the patented water-resistance system employed in the Replica Rolex Oyster. Hermetically sealed, the Replica Rolex Oyster was innovative not just for being able to be taken into the water, but for resisting a range of liquids and particles such as dust from entering the case. The system was all about screwed-down elements. The original Replica Rolex Oyster watch was innovative because the case back, bezel, and crown were all screwed-down. The fluted bezel was an important part of this because Rolex developed special tools which allowed them to tightly seal up the cases…

A further development that helped increase the safety of the movements was in the later Replica Rolex Oyster Perpetual watch. In 1931 Rolex developed a module to fit over their movements that offered automatic winding, and thus the “Oyster Perpetual” was born. This new term joined Rolex Oyster and today is on the dial of all mens Rolex replica watches. This is good to know in case you’ve ever wondered why “Oyster Perpetual” is on the dial of every Rolex watch sold these days. Automatic winding was a benefit to water resistance and other durability matters because the wearer did not have to unscrew the crown and wind the watch manually, thus opening up a small area of the case. The Perpetual rotor (as it was called) allowed the watch to be wound merely by wearing it.

It is also worth mentioning an extra added item of fake Rolex watches history that is related to the cushion-shaped case of the original Replica Rolex Oyster. Does it look familiar? Rolex went on to increase the size of the case and develop a diving watch for Italian instrument company Panerai. The now iconic Panerai case was actually a Rolex creation. If you put a modern Panerai next to this small (under 30mm wide) Replica Rolex Oyster you will see exactly where its design DNA came from. While so much of what Rolex is today evolved in the first few years of the brand, the traditionally-styled dials and cases of the first Replica Rolex Oyster watches are a thing of the past. They are rather typical of watches from that era. In fact, the wristwatch as a popular consumer good wasn’t even really a decade old at that time. What Hans Wilsdorf understood from a very early point in the industry is what consumers wanted, as well as needed. It is interesting to see these first Replica Rolex Oyster watches and see not only how far we’ve come, but how much of Rolex’s heritage really began from that start.
